There have been various issues in Microsoft Dynamics SL Business Portal; pages not rendering correctly, time entry not saving, general issues that are machine-specific, and so on. The solution is the recently revised IE settings for Business Portal.
Follow these steps to resolve the Dynamics SL Business Portal issues in IE:
1. Add the site to compatibility mode
- Open Internet Explorer (IE)
- When IE is open, choose Tools> Compatibility View settings on the left side of the IE menu:
(If you do not see the Tools option, right-click Home , and then select Menu Bar) - Add the site defaulting into the option. It should be your Business Portal address.

- Open Internet Explorer (IE)
- When IE is open, choose Tools> Internet Options.
- Go to the Security tab and click on Trusted Sites
- Click on the “sites” button
- Add the URL for Business Portal. If the site is not HTTPS (and is only HTTP) Uncheck the “Require server verification…” checkbox
- Click Close
