Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central was released April 2nd! It is an exciting time to be not only a Microsoft Partner, but also a Dynamics user. Dynamics 365 Business Central is designed for businesses looking for an all-in-one business management solution that’s easy to use and adaptable. It connects your finances, sales, service, and operations to streamline business processes, improve customer interactions, and enable growth.
Sounds like a great solution right? It is! Microsoft and its partners are excited for the release and believe that it is THE cutting-edge solution in the market. However, just like most new solutions, it has caused a bit of confusion. I would like to take this opportunity to provide some clarity – especially in regards to pricing.
Microsoft Pricing
Microsoft’s pricing for Dynamics 365 Business Central is changing. It is not the same as it was for Dynamics 365 Business Edition. However minor, it IS still a change for most clients. Dynamics 365 Business Central pricing is broken down into two tiers: Essential and Premium.
Essential:
- Provides basic capabilities that are adequate for a majority of professional services firms.
- Pricing: $70 per user per month
Premium:
- Adds increased functionality for distribution and warehouse management.
- Pricing: $100 per user per month
There will be a pricing transition window for Business Edition customers as well as Dynamics SL, GP, and NAV customers. For those customers on SL, GP or NAV, this may be a good opportunity to make the transition to Dynamics 365 Business Central while prices are lower.
Progressus Pricing
Pricing for Progressus is ready for customers! We have been working hand-in-hand with Microsoft to make sure Progressus Software would be the first fully functional vertical App ready for Dynamics 365 Business Central. This means that we have also been working directly with Microsoft regarding pricing for Progressus. There is no confusion here! Progressus pricing remains consistent from the original release, and with larger customers able to now utilize Dynamics 365 Business Central, we have added a volume-tiered pricing model for those customers with larger numbers of users.
Again, I understand that pricing can be confusing, but rest assured Progressus Software prices are not. Progressus Software can be deployed in multiple ways, and we have specific pricing options available for each.
On Dynamics 365 Business Central
Project Management Users – $50/User/month
Team Member Users – $35/User/month (before any volume discounts)
